Activities Commission was formed in 1968 in response to demand for more non-Greek activities on campus. Since then, the board has had numerous changes and has existed in different forms but has never wavered from its dedication to quality student- organized event programming.
As a standing committee of Student Association, AC is given an annual budget from the collection of mandatory student activity fees. The status of standing committee also allows the AC Chair to serve on SA Exec as the Director of Student Programming. This puts AC in a unique position to collaborate with the many other student groups on campus in a meaningful way. Also, the ACE/Accents Coordinator serves as the Chair of the Accents Council for Enrichment which represents the many special interest groups and multicultural organizations funded by the Student Association. |
