Special Events
   
Special Events is a programming position on Activities Commission.  Two Special Events co-coordinators are responsible for the various special events that take place throughout the year.  Both co-coordinators work together, as equals, and are elected toward the end of the spring semester every year. 

In the fall semester Special Events is responsible for planning the Week of Welcome Comedian, as well as getting involved in other WOW events.  Special Events is also involved in Homecoming and usually responsible for the Lip Sync and Window painting contests.  Special Events is also responsible for the fireworks that appear during Homecoming.  In addition to Homecoming and Weeks of Welcome (WOW) Special Events usually works with Career Services to put on the Career Connections Breakfast during Homecoming.  In the spring semester, Special Events is responsible for Winter Week, Siblings Weekend, and Springfest. The Special Events co-coordinators are free to deviate from these activities to try and better student life through programming.
